The four-storey building which houses three different city institutions – Tallinn Central Library, Tallinn Sportshall Municipal Establishment and Tallinn Haabersti Leisure Centre, was completed under the supervision of Tallinn Education Department in 2007. On the ground floor You can use the gyms, on the first floor public swimming pool services and the second floor is for different hobby groups. Nurmenuku Library, the branch library of Talllinn Central Library is located on the third floor.

Pääsküla Library

Pääsküla library is one of the branch libraries of Tallinn Central Library. The two-storey building (altogether 510 square metres) is specially designed and built for a library. It is located near the bus stops and a railway station.

Hjørring Library in Metropol

The library is part of a shopping mall called Metropol. Metropol is designet by the architects Schmidt, Hammer and Lassen and the library has a 30 year lease in it.

The interior is the interesting thing about the library. Bosch & Fjord - the architects for the interior - has really made some interesting and new shapes for furniture and design.

Ílhavo Municipal Library

Ílhavo City Library is located in the remains of the Manor Visconde de Almeida, a noble house from the 17th-18th century, later transformed and demolished. From the original building only the main façade, oriented southeast, and the chapel, both in ruins, were left.

Johnston Central Library & Cavan Library HQ

Johnston Central Library and Farnham Centre is a three storey building. It houses a Central Library on the ground floor; Library Headquarters, County Arts Office, Genealogy and Tourism Services on the first floor and a number of Council Offices including planning on the top floor.

Waterford City Central Library & HQ

Waterford Central Library & HQ is a four-storey L-shaped building, extending to 2,000 square metres, refurbished and extended from the original Carnegie Library, built in 1905. The library occupies a prominent corner site. The foyer, adult lending and children's library are located on the ground floor; the exhibition space, newspapers & magazines, and local studies and research area are on the first floor; the Business & ICT Information area, music and audio-visual areas are on the 2nd floor. The 3rd floor contains staff offices, facilities and the plant room.

Thurles Library

Thurles Library is located in The Source Library and Arts Centre. The building enjoys a riverside setting on banks of the river Suir, adjacent to the town bridge, with a fully accessible riverside boardwalk.

Bishopstown Library

Bishopstown Library is a modern multi-use facility, the newest and the largest of the six local public libraries in the city. Housed in a modern and spacious building, making extensive use of natural light, it incorporates the best features of modern library design. The Library is located in the grounds of Wilton Shopping Centre, near the SMA Church.

Bento de Jesus Caraça Municipal Library

Bento de Jesus Caraça Municipal library is the central library of Moita, a municipality of the Lisbon region serving an urban population of 67.000. It is located on the city’s park and it opened to the public on May 1997.
The building is design by Raúl Hestnes Ferreira. It’s main feature is the use of brick along with white concrete. The brick is mostly used in walls and closed spaces while concrete is associated with large windows in the main entrance and reading rooms.

Almeida Garrett Municipal Library

Almeida Garrett Library, named after a Portuguese 19th century writer, is Oporto's main library. Located in Oporto’s Cristal Palace Gardens, the building houses the library, an exhibitions gallery and an auditorium.
