Pärnu Central Library
History:
On January 7, 1909 the public reading room was opened in Elevandi Street 7. There were 400 books in Estonian. From 1942 to 2003 the library was located at several addresses. Since May 31, 2003 Pärnu Central Library is housed in modern specially designed library building in Akadeemia Street 3 and the size of its collection is about 300 000 books in several languages and about 200 items of periodicals.
Viljandi City Library
Viljandi City Library is three-storeyed building, specially designed and built for a library. Consists of two wings: one earlier existing house being reconstructed and connected with a new building that also houses Swedbank on the ground floor. Located on the central street, near town bus stops and the county bus station. Functions both as a city library and a county central library.
Nurmenuku Library
The four-storey building which houses three different city institutions – Tallinn Central Library, Tallinn Sportshall Municipal Establishment and Tallinn Haabersti Leisure Centre, was completed under the supervision of Tallinn Education Department in 2007. On the ground floor You can use the gyms, on the first floor public swimming pool services and the second floor is for different hobby groups. Nurmenuku Library, the branch library of Talllinn Central Library is located on the third floor.
Pääsküla Library
Pääsküla library is one of the branch libraries of Tallinn Central Library. The two-storey building (altogether 510 square metres) is specially designed and built for a library. It is located near the bus stops and a railway station.
